How you can help Nine Lives

Cash donations are very valuable to
NINE LIVES CAT RESCUE.

GOOD HOMES REQUIRED

We have healthy, neutered feral cats that require homes on farms, stables, nurseries or similar country locations.

There must be somewhere secure to keep them for at least four weeks before release and they must have a daily food ration as well as the food they hunt.

We ask that any sick or injured ferals be reported to us so that they can be caught again and taken to the vet for treatment.
For further information, please contact:

Susan Smith, Organiser Tel: 01794 340743

GIFT AID

If you pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax and you also complete a Gift Aid form then we can recover the tax on your donation as well.
The Chancellor can be a purr-fectly generous at times!
Forms are available from Susan Smith (tel: 01794 340743)

Nine Lives Cat Rescue is also very lucky to receive discounted rates for cat food and other supplies and veterinary services.

As we are registered for VAT we can reclaim the tax paid on goods and services.

So now you know - every pound you donate or give to Nine Lives through your fund-raising efforts we put to the best possible use.

ATTENTION ALL KNITTERS!

Do you have any unwanted wool? Our ladies who make baby clothes and cat blankets are running out of wool. We would be grateful for any unwanted wool, any colour, preferably double knit but any thickness will do.

If you can help please contact Susan Smith on Romsey 01794-340743.

CAN YOU HELP?
Two of our ladies, Clare and Pauline make wonderful cushion covers for us to sell at our fund-raising events. But they have run out of new fabric and cushion pads. If you have any unwanted cushion pads or new remnants of materials you no longer need, they would be happy to hear from you.

Also, Fay Friend, another supporter, knits dollies' clothes but she is bored with the patterns she has and would like some different ones to try. Has anyone got any unwanted dollies' clothes patterns?

We also need small or children's clothes hangers to go inside peg bags and any spare trimmings you may have e.g. ribbons, lace, bias-binding, elastic etc.

If you are able to offer any of the above, please contact Clare on 01962 880273 or Pauline on 023 8027 1217. Many thanks.

We are always in need of the following:

We are desperate for more helpers. Do you have any spare time to work as a volunteer with our rescue? We need help in all areas of our work and would be grateful if you can offer some assistance with the following:

Transport - taking cats to and from the vets and collecting cats from their home or location when coming into our care. We need helpers in Southampton, Romsey and Winchester areas.

Fundraising - more people are needed to help on the fundraising stalls and to help sort and price items for the sales. Also, we need people with ideas for fundraising and who would be prepared to organise an event on our behalf.

Fostering - we are in urgent need of more fosterers. We always have a waiting list of cats that need to come into our care but we are unable to help them due to lack of foster places. Have you got a spare room or a space in the garden for a cat pen? We provide everything you need including all veterinary treatment, you provide the time and care.

Trapping - could you learn how to trap stray/feral cats? Training will be given and you will be accompanied on your first experiences. Transport is essential for this job and the car must be big enough to carry a cat trap.

Administration - there is a vacancy for help with the office/paper work and also to assist with the production of the newsletter. If you have office skills and can spare one or two hours a week or fortnight please get in touch.

All enquiries please to, Susan Smith Romsey 01794 340743 or see our Contact Us page for more ways to get in touch..
